More Information
Wakaflex is a high quality flashing and can be used instead of lead for the majority of pitched roof applications, including wall abutments, chimneys, saddle details and repairs. It comprises of 4-layers made up of a flexible PIB (Polyisobutylene), reinforced with an aluminium mesh, making it extremely strong, tear-resistant and UV resistant.
Wakaflex can be cut to any length and is very flexible, stretching up to 50% in length and 15% in width when dressed to the shape of the tile, which makes it particularly ideal for complex areas. It also has self-welding technology, this means on longer runs only small overlaps are needed (50mm), whilst still providing a water-tight connection. For extra security it has two butyl strips on the back, to prevent wind uplift, which is protected by perforated release paper to aid in a quick and easy installation. Unlike traditional flashings, no welding, specialist tools or training is required to use Wakaflex, making it a very convenient and versatile flashing solution.
We've been manufacturing Wakaflex for over 25 years in our quality controlled facilities and not only has it been tested for winds up to 114 mph when glued, but it has also been tested as best for ageing when compared to other lead alternatives available on the market. That's why we also offer a 20-year guarantee for added peace of mind. Wakaflex is also BBA approved.

- Not suitable for use with bitumin roof coverings or for flat roof applications
- Klober Flashing Sealant should be used if dressing a chase detail into a brickwork joint
Area of application
